Japan Umeshu Festa in JR Hakata Station | Fukuoka Now
More than 120 varieties of umeshu (plum liqueur) crafted by breweries from across Japan gather at Hakata Station. While umeshu is a familiar drink enjoyed at home, this event offers the chance to explore the distinct character and production methods of different breweries. The umeshu are categorized by the type of base alcohol used—such as white liquor, authentic shochu, sake, and brandy—and include a wide range of styles, from citrus-infused varieties with yuzu or lemon to cloudy nigori umeshu. Using the special event coins (“Umesen”) included with admission, visitors can sample more than 120 kinds in 16 ml tasting portions and compare their flavors. Bottles of favorite selections will also be available for purchase. • Apr. 2, 2026 (Thu.)~Apr. 3, 2026 (Fri.) 14:00~21:00; Apr. 4, 2026 (Sat.) 12:00~20:00; Apr. 5, 2026 (Sun.) 12:00~18:00 • Adv. ¥1,900 (ume-sen 21 coins) or ¥2,700 (ume-sen 21 coins) / door ¥1,900 (ume-sen 19 coins) or ¥2,700 (ume-sen 25 coins) *Cash, PayPay, and electronic payment are available.
